Sad...

We were a little over confident w/ the whole dairy situation here... Kalila did so well cutting it all out, so we decided to start adding in things to see what she could handle. Baba just knew it would be straight up milk only that was the problem, said maybe no yogurt to be safe. I pretty much agreed... wondered about the cheese, but still.

Either way the nasties are back within a couple days of bringing stuff in. I'm hoping it was just the cheese she had the other day.

That's too bad :( I hope it's just the cheese and that you can add in most other things soon!

Thanks. We were just gonna add in the hidden ones first and if she did well then do cheese. But we had sushi the other day... and it had cream cheese. So she kinda had it all thrown at her. So back to basically none and then add in the little things. I know she had something w/ casein in it and didn't react to that (we missed that the veggie cheese was not dairy free had it quite a bit and still got better), so we have a start there.

We went through all of that with both girls and I have no answer for you at all...they were much older than Kalila when they were able to take anything with dairy.

Good luck and I hope it's just cheese as well.

When Izzy was little (under a year), we just did the elimination thing, trying to figure out what he was sensitive too. When he turned 12 or 18 months, the doctor ordered a blood test to see what he was allergic too. Maybe you could request one for Kalila? It might makes things easier and eliminate stress.

Good idea... Esp since she's had issues w/ several kinds of fruit before.. and what all I mentioned in my last post. We may have been completely on the wrong track here, may still be.. :-/
